I am starting this blog on the simple fact that I want to learn simple living to find financial freedom.
Over the last decade I have accumulated too many things and I’ve become acutely aware of the need to simplify my life. On a recent trip to Fiji, I had time to pause and reflect that there are parts of my life that are:
- Hurried
- Stressful
- Exhausting
- Messy (whispers – that’s my closet, car and pantry)
- Expensive
I want this to change!
Now, I am a parent of three young children in my mid-thirties with a career and I am quite aware that I am in the season of busyness. Although, other parents have shared that it apparently gets more busy the older the children are… oh my!
The blog is going to track my journey to simplify my life.
The other aspect that I am going to focus on is finding financial freedom.
The more I think about simple living, I do think that I may be able to find financial freedom through spending less and giving myself room to have the right financial mindset. The words ‘financial freedom’ spark joy for me. Even just typing out the words makes me feel excited.
In the next blog post I am going to explore what simple living and financial freedom mean for me.
